Pantone announced Living Coral as the 2019 Color of the Year. The rich, bright orange shade – similar to sunsets and marine life – represents embracing community and unity.
Coral is a calcium-carbonate skeleton made out of tiny creatures called polyps. Many corals live close to the ocean’s surface and soak up the light from the sun. Corals fill themselves with kinetic energy to nurture the sea life they’re in.
In the same way, we soak up energy as individuals in whatever sea or ocean we find ourselves in. Hence, we give back what we have gained to our community through acts of kindness, constant respect, and genuine love for others.
This year’s color is helpful as well for environmental awareness. Corals all over the world are dying because of our negligence towards Mother Earth. If we don’t protect the world we’re supposed to take care of, living coral will only be a color in the eyes of future generations.
How much of your stuff is gonna be Living Coral this 2019?
