It is once again that time of the year when you and the family look forward to watching a very special Christmas show on…Ice. Filipinos are in for another Christmas treat as beloved Disney characters are coming back for a new and more extravagant “Disney on Ice” skating show.
The fusion of classic and contemporary Disney stories is among the highlights of this year’s event. Mickey Mouse, who is celebrating his 90-year legacy, will grace an opening performance together with Minnie Mouse, Donald Duck, and Goofy.
While on a mission to find their favorite memory of all time, the characters would find themselves venturing through various Disney worlds, including “Moana,” “Toy Story,” “Inside Out,” and “Frozen.”
And this is the kind of show that our little Adrielle was looking forward to. We arrived in the venue early expecting a lot of people since it was a Christmas Day and as we all know, Christmas time is for kids. And true enough, we arrived together with eager families excited to see and experience the magic of Disney.
As Mickey looks back on unforgettable Disney moments, families will be taken on a high-seas adventure with Moana as she displays courage to save her island, journey to the wintery world of Arendelle as royal sisters Anna and Elsa discover true love is the most powerful magic of all, and experience the mysterious magic of Fantasia as a Sorcerer’s Apprentice makes brooms come to life. The Emotions –Joy, Sadness, Anger, Fear and Disgust– from Disney Pixar’s Inside Out make their Disney On Ice debut in the Philippines as the hosts of the show relive classic and contemporary Disney stories in an emotional rollercoaster with Mickey and the gang.
The interactive skating show is headlined by international ice skaters who gave a teaser of their performance during the launching of the show on Tuesday.
The show will run from December 25 to January 6 next year at the Mall of Asia Arena. Tickets are available at SM Ticket outlets nationwide.
