I may not have the “God Tongue” like Erina Nakiri of the anime Shokugeki no Soma, but I have faith in my tastebuds to tell me what is tasty and what is not.
In my years of existence, I transitioned from a very picky eater to a pick-any eater. When I feel the pressure at work, often than not, I am munching into something or sipping through a drink. I feel that a very tasty and satisfying meal, is a reward that I get after a hard day’s work. Like the saying, “Work Hard, Play Hard,” I believe that when I work hard, I get to eat something tasty afterwards.
Working in Digital Marketing, pressure is something you will be familiarized with. And when I experience this its nice to know that I would be able to eat a very tasty meal. Lo and behold, a day came like this, it was a client meeting where we need to present a comprehensive digital marketing status report.
After a few days and nights of working on the presentation, the D-day arrived, we travelled towards the client’s office in Bulacan almost in Pampanga and presented the report early in the morning. When all is said and done, the presentation came out successful, the client thanked us for our good work.
Since we are near Pampanga, we took on the road and explore one of the famous, tasty and cheap buffet restaurant in San Fernando, HOLIDAYLAND!
Holidayland is located along the Olongapo-Gapan Road, San Fernando City, Pampanga. Priced only at PHP 228.00 during the time when we dined in.
Even with the effects of the pandemic, with its internal décor and homey ambiance the restaurant gives out a “fiesta sa bayan” feel. Remember the times when we go to a fiesta and visit a relative or friend and they cook for the visitors? That is what you get when you visit this buffet restaurant.
Aside from the ambiance the food selections are incredible! From “Handaan” staples like Chopsuey, Menudo and Sinigang you will be served with their all-famous Adobong Balut and special dishes like Kare-Kare. For dessert, the all-time pinoy favorite Halo-halo.
If you find yourself drinking with friends, a selection of local beers are available, and you sure can rely on their pika-pika dishes like Crispy Fried Tawilis, and Fried Talangka.
After a long day’s work, you sure can expect that Holidayland can satisfy your hunger and in the most Kapampangan style of cooking, taste is guaranteed for those who have a discerning palate. Now that’s what I can say “Manyaman Ket!”
