QUEZON CITY, Philippines – Quezon CIty Mayor Joy Belmonte confirms a cost of $5 per dose for the AstraZeneca Vaccine, earlier in an interview.
The city placed an order of 1.1 million doses with the British pharmaceutical firm AstraZeneca. While the total cost of the vaccine has not been officially disclosed, the local Government of Quezon City disbursed 20% down payment.
A 1 billion peso budget has been initially allotted for the purchase of the vaccine. 24 vaccination sites have been identified with at least 1 million Quezon City residents prioritized for the Quezon City Vaccination Program.
To support its vaccination program, Quezon CIty partnered with Zuelig Pharmaceutical Co. to take charge of storage, inventory and management of the vaccines.
PARAÑAQUE, Philippines – A budget of 250 million pesos was allotted by the local Government of Parañaque City for the purchase of vaccines.
9,606,000 pesos has been disbursed to AstraZeneca as the 20% down payment of the 50 million peso order of vaccines by the City Government of Parañaque.
While only 10% of Parañaque residents are willing to be vaccinated, the city government was able to secure 200,000 doses which is due to arrive in July 2021.
Mayor Edwin Olivarez of Parañaque City encouraged the residents to register for the city’s vaccination program during the Kapihan sa Manila Bay last February 2021.
