Despite the COVID -19 pandemic, Kia Philippines is expanding its reach to more Filipinos with new dealership to bring the total to 38 by year-end and 50 by next year.
Kia Philippines sales director Jun Cajayon said in an online briefing that the automotive firm is opening four new dealerships in last quarter of 2020.
The new dealership will be located in Cainta in Rizal, San Pablo in Laguna, Nueva Ecija, and Bohol. These locations are considered to be high growth areas for vehicles
The company opened four dealerships – Bonifacio Global City, Marikina, Fairview and Isabela – during the current quarter.
Kia Philippines plans to continue their expansion in the country by bringing total dealership count to 50 by next year.
“To touch base with the consumers, we would now have 38 by the end of the year, but 37 within October to showcase the Stonic,” he said.
Manny Aligada said that the company is targeting to sell 300 units of the Stonic crossover which will be launched on October 15, 2020.
The company’s target market for Stonic are young and active indivuals or newly wed couples who are looking for a vehicle for their daily use.
Aligada mentioned that the company’s vision for Stonic is a vehicle model as an active player in the entry level segment where there has been strong consumer interest as more individuals are buying their own cars amidst the pandemic
“With the introduction of the Stonic, this adds another player into this very active segment that is growing,” he said.
Stonic is available in three variants and has a pre-launch price range of P675,000 to P875,000.
Aligada also mentioned that Kia Philippines is sticking to its target sales total of 4,000 units this year as it expects recovery in vehicle sale in the remaining months of the year with eased community quarantine.
