Actress Alyssa Milano has opened up her battle with COVID – 19 through a video she posted on Twitter. Milano experienced hair loss as a result of the coronavirus. In the video, Milano brushed her hair to show how her falls out in clumps.
“Thought I’d show you what #Covid19 does to your hair. Please take this seriously,” Milano wrote in the caption. “I just wanted to show you the amount of hair that is coming out of my head as a result of Covid,” Milano said in the video.
In her interview with CNN’s Chris Cuomo on PrimeTime and infectious disease expert Dr. William Schaffner. She mentioned how she was confused because there are no clear instructions on the next steps she should take.
“My question is there is no guidance on what to do once you recover. I don’t know if I should go get my heart checked, my lungs checked. There’s concerns about vascular system. Do I need to go get a panel for all of that?”
Dr. William mentioned that even though there are no steps that have been established yet, a person who still experiencing the symptoms should continue to seek help from their Doctors for care.
Milano also posted on her Instagram page reminding her followers to follow the safety protocols like wearing masks, washing hands, and observing social distance.
“I just want you to be aware that our testing system is flawed and we don’t know the real numbers.”
“Please wash your hands and wear a mask and social distance. I don’t want anyone to feel the way I felt. Be well. I love you all ”
