The hit Lydia’s lechon in a box started with a young girl selling slices of roasted pig along the streets of Baclaran.
The young girl’s initial steps to entrepreneurship grew. With a five hundred pesos capital and the help of her husband Benigno, Lydia De Roca opened the very first Lydia’s Lechon stall by the Our Lady of Sorrows Church.
Through the couple’s faith and hard work, Lydia’s Lechon became the most favored supplier of roasted pig of five-star hotels along Roxas Boulevard.
One thing unique about Lydia’s lechon is its Boneless Lechon stuffed with Seafood Paella. Before this, the lechon is only a roasted pig with a sweet liver sauce.
This year marks the 55th anniversary of Lydia’s Lechon. With 25 stores around the country, Lydia’s Lechon has come a long way. Lydia’s Lechon can also now be bought online through its food delivery partners: FoodPanda and GrabFood.
“We are excited to bring you more surprises, especially now that we are on our 55th year of bringing everyday lechon happiness to everyone,” Lydia De Roca said.
