Contributors to the improvement of Technical-Vocational Education and Training or TVET were recognized by the Technical Education and Skills Development Authority or TESDA, its top officials said.
The contributors will receive TESDA’s Kabalikat Award: an award celebrating TESDA’s most active and outstanding partners who helped the agency in training Filipino skilled workers.
Institutions like local government units or LGUs, the legislative branch, the national government agencies or NGA, government-owned and controlled corporations or GOCCs, private businesses and companies, local and international organizations, and nongovernment organizations or NGOs.
“We appreciate how these partners help the agency. While TESDA is the authority in TVET, we need the support and expertise of certain sectors. It is only proper that we recognize their notable contributions in the improvement of TVET,” TESDA Secretary Isidro Lapeña said.
In choosing the recipients of the Kabalikat award, the Regional/Executive Office screening committees would do a critical evaluation. The committees would take note of the nominees’ employment facilitation assistance and opportunities provided, promotion and advocacy activities, investment to technical education and skills development or TESD, quality assurance certification, and the nominees’ continuous support to TESD.
