Fans think that celebrity couple James Reid and Nadine Lustre, otherwise known as JaDine, are still a couple.
James Reid and Nadine Lustre are rumored to have broken up. This is after an article by the Philippine Entertainment Portal (PEP.PH) reported that an unnamed close friend of the suspected broken couple saw Nadine Lustre carrying a bag while leaving James Reid’s home.
Said article made JaDine into a trending topic on Twitter after PEP.PH shared the article last January 1, 2020.
To corroborate the article’s source, the entertainment news portal cited Nadine Lustre’s cryptic Instagram posts as evidence.
The news portal also claimed that the last social media post that the two were seen together was last November 7, 2019.
The article made supporters of the couple mad with indignation and swiftly scoured the interwebs to disprove the article.
To disprove the articles, the JaDine fans dug deep and found some interesting info.
One fan with the Twitter handle of @TeamTenementUno retweeted a post showing the couple’s holiday activities.
The original tweet came from @AnnskieJD who remarked that PEP.PH didn’t receive photos of the JaDine couples during the holidays.
Another fan with the handle @kooridenka noted that Nadine Lustre has been using lyrics in her Instagram posts since 2013.
ABS-CBN entertainment reporter MJ Felipe tweeted an update on the couple’s new year activities, disproving the claim.
Some social media users suggested that the supposed break-up is just a marketing gimmick for the ABS-CBN stars.
In one case, James Reid will be partnering with Nancy McDonie, Liza Soberano’s lookalike, and Momoland member, for a new TV series called “The Soulmate”.
The TV series will be produced by Dreamscape Entertainment, ABS-CBN’s content provider division, and directed by award-winning director Antoinette Jadaone.
Regardless if it’s a hoax, a gimmick, a publicity stunt, or even if it’s actually true; the fact remains that the JaDine issue is causing an internet wildfire and giving the couple free publicity.
