UST Tigers torches UP Maroons, 89-69, Sunday night to force a do-or-die duel for the last finals berth in the UAAP Season 82 men’s basketball tournament.
UST was in complete command right from tip-off and, as always, buried its opponent with a barrage of triples.
Rhenz Abando and Soulemane Chabi Yo drops 17 points each, while rookies Mark Nonoy and Sherwin Concepcion contributed 16 and 12 respectively and took home the W.
The Growling Tigers will just have to keep the momentum, looking for their return to the Finals for the first time since 2015. While the second seed Fighting Maroons, on the other hand, will be hoping to have an answer back on their next face off on November 13, 2019 (Wednesday).
