We all know that riding trains save a lot of time. But riding trains in the Philippines really takes a lot of courage. So, the question is, do you have the guts to ride the Light Rail Transit (LRT)? Riding the LRT has always been a part of the daily routine of many people. Whether if you’re a student, employee, civilian, or whoever you are, one must always possess the skills of a master commuter of the LRT. If you think that you’re already a veteran at this, check the following signs below if these apply to you:
YOU DON’T CARE ABOUT POLES AND HANDRAILS ANYMORE
Poles and handrails don’t mind you anymore. You believe that you don’t need them that much because you’ve already mastered the art of balancing! You know how to keep it steady and be pliant like a bamboo. Having the perfect posture and swaying with the train are also the factors to keep your balance consistent.
SUDDEN BRAKES
These spontaneous brakes aren’t new for you. You know how to keep it smooth and cool when this happen. You just let it slip away with elegance and class. People who are good at this usually know how to conceal themselves from tripping. As Elsa from Frozen once said, “Make one wrong move and everyone will know.”
YOU CAN MAKE YOUR OWN SPACE
This applies especially when you don’t belong to the terminal stations. When the train arrives and you see that passengers are overflowing, this does not stop you and you just keep going. You know how to make your own space by simply pushing yourself inside by being “confidently beautiful with a heart.”
LONG-LASTING STANDING
You don’t worry that much if all of the seats are already occupied because you know that you have those tough legs! Standing for a very long time is something that you are an expert of. It is shocking that you find yourself standing for like half an hour.
MISMATCH ERROR
You rarely experience this kind of scenario when your beep card is declined by the turnstile. Waiting for several seconds is nothing for you to get out of the gate, because it’s embarrassing to hear that error sound. Don’t panic! Having patience is a value that we must all have.
TAP MASTER
Having a quick finger is a must to save time when reloading your beep card, and of course, this is a courtesy to the one next in line. You know that you’re good at this when you don’t spend too much time with the ticket vending machine. It is shocking that you do it quickly like The Flash.
If these signs relate to you, this can be a meaning that you’re a certified commuter of the LRT. It clearly shows that you are a master commuter!
We all have our own silly experiences when riding the LRT. If you have something in mind, please share and leave a note below!
