The official Philippine distributor of Hyundai, Hyundai Asia Resources Inc. (HARI) has inaugurated the Hyundai Dream Centre Philippines, a training and education hub for underprivileged Filipino youth.
The HDCP is a partnership between HARI, Hyundai Motor Group and global humanitarian organization, Plan International.
HARI said the facility aims to elevate the level of vocational-technical skills in the Philippine automotive industry by providing young Filipinos with training scholarships on vehicle repair and maintenance.
Hyundai has established Dream Centres in collaboration with local vocational schools over the past five years in Ghana, Indonesia, Cambodia, and Vietnam.
HARI said this is the first time Hyundai has partnered with a distributor to design and implement the training courses for a Dream Centre.
The HDCP, which will implement a wide-ranging training curriculum to equip HARI employees and chosen scholars on the latest skills and technology in the automotive industry, will add to the growing number of Hyundai Dream Centers established in four countries since 2013.
