Aiming to make the cyberspace safer for businesses and individuals, Cryptors Cybersecurity Inc., popularly known as “Cryptors,” launched Hackuna Anti-hack, a mobile application that serves as a weapon against mobile hackers.
Developed by 21-year-old CEO Alexis Lingad, the Hackuna app, derived from famous Lion King movie statement “Hakuna Matata” (means no worries), claims to be the first of its kind in the world.
The said app, which is now available in Google Play and soon to be in App store, boasts its capability to blocks hackers within the network from hacking the user. By pressing the button WiFi Blocker, the user can track and identify possible threats on public WiFi.
Meanwhile, by clicking the Permission Analyzer button in the Hackuna app, users can also detect the apps with unreasonable permission to access private data, camera, mic, SMS, GPS, call logs and contacts.
“There are a lot of apps that seems trusted, but there are some still that goes beyond the security of the platform. For example, the Pitu app, which is quite popular among users, has been discovered to collect too many private data in smartphones and invades privacy. A simple Flashlight app in Play Store was also found out to ask a lot of permission to access private data. By using Hackuna, you will be able to detect these unknown hackers and track them down,” Lingad explained.
The app’s Malware Buster also has the ability to detect the hidden spy apps and the Trojans that hackers use in invading and controlling users’ phone remotely.
The Hackuna app boasts its 10,000 downloads in Google play in just one month which most of the subscriptions coming from The United States and The Philippines.
“Usually, a mobile security app takes a month to achieve a thousand instalments but, Hackuna just did 10 times of that. In just a month after its public launch, it gained more than 10,000 downloads. Usually, there are only 1% – 5% daily active users in Security mobile apps but in Hackuna, we have 30% – 40% daily active users, ” he added.
