Meralco has signed a memoruandum of understanting (MOU) with six municipalities of Laguna, namely, Cauayan, Liliw, Magdalena, Majayjay, Pila and Rizal under its Energizing Partnerships Program (EPP). This paves the way for more collaborative projects leading to these towns further development.

Represented by the mayors of the said municiaplities, Liliw Mayor Ericson Sulibit thanked Meralco for being always ready to serve the needs of their constituents. Aside from community electrification, the partnership also focuses on ensuring ease of doing business as electricityis a vital ingredient in the success of local businesses. Meralco will also work with the LGUs on public safety and disaster preparedness.
