Among the highlights of the concert include some of the most iconic performances of the group, showcasing the other side of theater performance beyond play productions.
The night started with a taste of “Tony Awards” with a parody of Neil Patrick Harris’ “Not Just for Gays,” the Award’s opening number in 2010. It was followed by adaptations of musical numbers, like the “Dream Girls Medley;” “All that Jazz” from “Chicago the Musical;” and “We Go Together” from “Grease.”
Aside from these performances, the event also showcased some original Spoken Poetry acts, as well as interpretative dance and song numbers. There are also magic and comedy acts, as performed by TK’s alumni members.
To close the big night, Prof. Viray sang the TK Song, with all the present and alumni members, chanting the words that bid the continuous drive of the group in promoting arts and culture in the years ahead.
