In one of our visits to Bonifacio Global District, we decided to try out the UP Town Parade and checked-out what is in store for us. We visited some of the shops and during dinner time, both me and my wife decided to try out Naxional South American Diner.
Naxional Diner is a South American-themed diner inspired by well-loved dishes from 10 countries – Argentina, Bolivia, Brazil, Colombia, Cuba, Mexico, Ecuador, Peru, Puerto Rico and Venezuela. Owned by South American citizens who now reside in the Philippines, the restaurant offers a different kind of comfort, giving a homey feel that is very distinct to the Latin culture.
According to Chef Peter Ayson, the diner’s executive chef, he describes the restaurant as an authentic piece of South America. The dishes on their menu are meticulously prepared to resemble what the owners have in their hometowns. From Venezuelan to Peruvian and Brazilian, Naxional South American Diner offers a diverse set of dishes. These dishes are all created with love and nostalgia, reminding the owners and the chefs of what it feels like to be home. The food definitely does not disappoint with flavors bursting in each bite.
If you are a fan of movies like Desperado, Once Upon a Time in Mexico and you are curious about what food in South America is like, nothing comes closer than the ones served at Naxional. Once you enter the restaurant, you can really feel that the place is authentic and will provide you a feeling of what South American dish tastes like.
The food perfectly captures the beauty of the Latin culture, the warmth of the people, and the captivating life of the region. And rightfully so, the owners are not only restaurateurs. They are actually South Americans who wanted to introduce to the Filipino delicate taste buds the colourful flavor of South American dishes.
Now if you happen to be in the BGC, UP Town area, Naxional South American Diner certainly is worthy of your experience.
