“Science fiction is now becoming a reality”
These were the pronouncements made by Yoshikuni Takashige, Vice President, Head of Marketing Strategy, Fujitsu during the Press Briefing for Fujitsu Asia Conference 2016.
With the fast phase of technology, Fujitsu, the country’s provider of Information Technology systems and solutions, explained its plans to adapt digital transformation in the future through Human Centric Innovation.
Takashige stated that digitalization of the global economy came in four Digital Waves.
The first wave began with the internet, while the second wave evolved into mobile Internet, which he believes is where we are now. However, little by little, we are now going into the third wave, which is composed of the Internet of Things (IOT). In a study they conducted, the company believes that there will be 50 billion connected devices by 2020. The fourth and final wave will see the rise of artificial intelligence and robotics, which he believes is where science fiction can become a reality.
With this in mind, Human Centric Innovation creates business and social value by empowering people with digital technology.
Fujitsu brings together these 3 key value drivers to create the innovation namely, creativity, intelligence and connectedness. Each value drivers is derive from different dimension of people, information and infrastructure.
Fujitsu also introduced its MetaArc platform for enabling digital business. Businesses can now find it easy to balance the need for fast IT with robust IT with this device. This provides comprehensive solutions, services, cutting edge technology and the partnerships needed to support digitalization and modernization of business projects on a global basis.
This device simplifies the adoption, deployment and integration of digital and cloud solutions alongside existing systems, and provides a set of services for transforming and managing both applications and infrastructure.
The company imagines a digital future, where people is at the center of everything. According to Takashige’s presentation, “empowered with digitally, people will have the potential to achieve breakthroughs previously unthinkable.”
