Media from the lifestyle and food sections as well as mommy bloggers had a grand time during the media launch of Mega Prime’s Rainy Day Souprise Cook-off.

Various media from the print, broadcast, and bloggers trooped to Enderun Mckinley Hill in Fort Bonifacio, Taguig City to witness and be part of this fun-filled event.

One of the highlights of the program was the final cook-off between PRIME MOMs Des Brodhagen and Apple Selecios and between Tina Perez and April Paging in the Mommy Blogger Category. Members of the press who graced the event also got a chance to be chefs for a day when they participated in the mystery cook-off activity. This part of the program gave the media an exciting activity where they get to partner with another media and cooked the featured soup.

The activities in the launch was just a tip of the iceberg so to speak for the media. The climax of the event was of course the presence of Mega Prime Mushroom’s brand ambassador, Marian Rivera-Dantes. The ever beautiful actress not only wowed the crowd with her elegance and beauty, but she also shared valuable cooking and parenting tips, to the delight of the media. Together with the Kapuso star is Chef Nino Logarta, a rock star culinary expert that can also be mistaken as a celebrity because of his boy-next-door look.

Chef Nino is also an entrepreneur with a passion not only for creating recipes and food styling, but also for sharing his experiences and tips with others. He is more than a familiar face on TV, as host and kitchen manager for cooking shows shown in GMA 7’s former lifestyle network, Q-TV. He has been Mega Prime’s resident chef for Mega Prime Mushroom and can be seen with Marian Rivera as they share delicious recipes in Mega Prime’s Facebook webisodes.

The event comes in a very opportune time since late July is the start of the rainy season here in the country. And the recipes featured in the program gave a new twist to the usual soup that we know off.
