I was hesitant. I didn’t know what to think as I lay there staring at the white ceiling. Yet, I was both curious and excited about what was going to happen. I was lying in bed with my eyes closed when I heard someone enter the room. The sound of footsteps coming closer and closer. I found myself clinging tightly to my blanket ready for what was to come. I realized that I was finally ready to experience my first facial.

I was greeted by Nurse Madel, the therapist. She explained the procedure to me in detail. I told her that it was my first time and I trusted her enough to put myself in her hands. She smiled and assured me not to worry telling me that she will take care of me. I felt myself relax after she assured me.
She began the procedure with a cream massage. She ran her fingertips over my face. I felt the cool, soothing cream covering my face. I have to admit that despite my earlier trepidations, I felt relaxed. I thought to myself that if that was the first part of the procedure and I felt relaxed, what would I feel next. I found myself waiting anxiously for the next step.

After the facial cleansing, the nurse took me to the next room where the 3Face facial procedure took place. I was ecstatic, walking past the clinic doors I became more curious so I followed her to the end of the hall. Waiting there was Dr. Jen Torres – the dermatologist of Dermclinic who took charge of me from Nurse Madel.

At this point, all my hesitation faded as I gave myself over to her care as she examined my skin. She told me that my skin needed desperate care so without any more reluctance, she proceeded with the next step of my facial cleansing experience. If the first step was soothing and gentle, the second step of the treatment was a little more intense – the 3Face Facial Treatment. Before proceeding, she sliced a tiny portion of my skin where my pimples were. It was painful but it felt good. Who would have thought getting your zits popped would actually feel good?
Dr. Jen Torres went straight with the 3Face facial procedure. She pulled a big machine towards that had three long metal equipment, which looked like a pen sticking out from it. The first thing she did was to do what she called Microdermabrasion. The process exfoliated the top layer of the skin sloughing off dead skin cells. Then, she performed the Collagen Renewal process, wherein a special fluid was applied on my face to make the skin elastic and firm. Finally, the Skin Tightening procedure, wherein a small suction was placed at the middle part of my face and moved outwards to my cheeks to help restore my skin’s radiance.

While the procedure seemed like minutes, I was surprised that it took about two hours. After the entire process, my face was as smooth as a baby’s bottom.
I felt revived by the treatment and cannot wait for my next visit. Truly Dermclinic lives up to its standards. For 42 years, they have taken good care of their customers especially first timers like me.
